Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sum Code ("the App"), an AI-powered programming learning platform developed by FS Sam.

By creating an account and using the App, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

To use Sum Code, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information (name and email address)
• Keep your password confidential and not share it with others
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

You agree to use Sum Code only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.

• Create fake accounts or impersonate another person
• Attempt to access another user's account
• Cheat or manipulate contest scores or leaderboards
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our servers or databases
• Upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or offensive content
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws

Sum Code hosts Daily and Weekly coding contests. By participating, you agree that:

• Your display name and contest score will be publicly visible on the leaderboard to all users
• You will not cheat, use unauthorised assistance, or manipulate results
• Contest results are final and determined by our scoring algorithm
• We reserve the right to disqualify accounts found cheating

Free users receive a limited number of contest entries per day/week. Watching ads may earn bonus entries. Upgrading to Pro grants unlimited access.

One Daily Challenge is available per calendar day. Completing a challenge locks it for that day. The next day a new challenge unlocks automatically.

• Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store
• Payment is charged to your Google Play account upon confirmation
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

• Cancel anytime via your Google Play account settings
• You retain Pro access until the end of the paid period

• Refund requests are handled by Google Play under their refund policy

The following features are permanently free and do not require a Pro subscription:

• All 8 programming language courses — 100% of lessons
• Daily and Weekly contests (up to the free quota)
• Leaderboard access
• Level and XP progression
• Daily AI credits (resets each day)
• Watch ads to earn bonus AI credits
• Daily Challenge (one per day)

Certificates of Completion are issued to Pro subscribers who complete 100% of a language course.

• Certificates display the user's name, course name, completion date, and developer signature
• Certificates are for personal and portfolio use only — not for redistribution or commercial use
• We reserve the right to revoke certificates issued to accounts found violating these Terms

Sum Code uses Google's Gemini AI to power the AI tutor, code assistant, code review, and contest question generation.

By using AI features, you acknowledge:

• AI responses may not always be accurate — always verify critical code independently
• Your messages are sent to Google's Gemini API and governed by Google's Terms of Service
• We do not permanently store your AI chat history on our servers
• AI-generated content is for educational purposes and should not be used in production without review

You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account.

Local device data (lessons, streaks, XP) is cleared when you uninstall the app.

All content within Sum Code — including lessons, UI design, code, logos, AI-generated questions, and certificates — is the intellectual property of FS Sam.

You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission. Your account data belongs to you.

Sum Code is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI responses will always be accurate. Use of the App is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FS Sam shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sum Code, including loss of data, account suspension, or inaccurate AI responses.

We may update these Terms when we add new features or change how the App works. We will notify you within the App when material changes occur.

Continued use of Sum Code after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be resolved under Bangladesh jurisdiction.
